Fostering Stoke-on-Trent

We are proud to say that we have an office in Stoke offering dedicated support in the area to anyone who is considering fostering.

We particularly welcome enquiries from those with backgrounds in the health, childcare and social care sectors, who may have experience in supporting those who are more vulnerable.  However, we do also provide on-going training and development for foster carers to ensure that they are able to effectively care for children and young people who have may have experienced difficulties in their childhood.  We are also increasingly asked for “parent and child” placements and foster carers who can support this.

Support young people in Stoke-on-Trent

There is masses of things to do with the children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent – whether it is day swirling in the rapids at Waterworld, a bit of skiing down the dry ski slope at Festival Park, perhaps a day further out at Alton Towers or even making a friend with a monkey down at Trentham Gardens “Monkey Forest”!  Being able to provide vulnerable children and young people with the opportunities to have a positive childhood is tremendously rewarding and will give them memories that will last a lifetime.
We have some lovely friends down at Six Towns Radio in Burslem and Cross Rhythms in Hanley – they support us trying to keep children and young people in the city where they belong.

We are also delighted to be a proud sponsor of Kidsgrove Rangers under 11’s football team!
We know it’s important to share the views of real foster carers. That’s why we decided to film the thoughts of foster carers and create a video. Foster carers took this opportunity to talk about the support and training they receive, and also the rewards and benefits to fostering. If you would like to know more please get in touch.

About Capstone Foster Care

Capstone Foster Care is an established fostering agency that covers most regions of England.  We have approximately 100 committed staff members supporting our 500 foster carers. We are very proud of the fact that most of our regions are rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted; with the Midlands achieving ‘Outstanding’ at our last inspection in 2012.  We have 16 offices situated over England, with our local staff members working hard to ensure that they know all of our foster carers personally.  We aim to keep the local, family feel of our offices; meaning that we are able to offer new foster carers with a good balance of the resources and expertise linked with being part of a larger agency,  with the more personal “family feel” and local support, which our foster carers tell us is hugely valuable.
