When children are placed into foster care, it can be a difficult time for the birth family to see the children living away from the family home. In other cases, it can be a welcoming relief for birth families who need support with caring for their children. They can understand that, at the present time they are not healthy or fit enough to provide great care for their children, and the role of foster carers is vital in providing a stable and loving home for their children.
One of our carers has recently received a thank you note from their foster children's birth mother, thanking them for all their hard work and for keeping her children happy and safe.
The thank you note from the birth mother said:
‘You came into our life when we needed someone the most you saved my babies when I couldn't save myself let alone them, you've cherished them and nurtured them but most of all, love them just as much as me. I honestly couldn't say how much that means but I promise I will do my very best to turn it all around. I'd just like to say thank you for all you do for E and T but even more so for loving them like your own, please keep them safe until I'm strong again’
This thank you note is evidence of the excellent care our carers are providing for these two young siblings; we are so proud to have them in our Capstone family.
