Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Hereford, Sandwell, Telford, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Worcester and more! Our social work team are widespread and arrange support sessions and supervisions with foster carers at their homes.
Our Birmingham team is headed by Regional Director, Sara Chambers-Ross. Sara is supported by Regional Manager, Chris Crocker who manages the social work team and James Ryan who is our Commercial Manager.

Our social workers and senior practitioners, Tanika, Dan, Manisha, Helen, Lisa and Bernadine collectively support foster carers across the region, offering support and fostering guidance 24/7. A social worker is always available as they work on a rota and take turns to be on call during the evening and weekends. Our dedicated social work team make regular visits and support foster carers to achieve positive outcomes for the children and young people in all areas of their lives.

Our Recruitment Co-ordinator, Alison Williams, is the first person you need to speak to if you are thinking of making an enquiry. She will have a telephone conversation with you to see if fostering is right for you, your family and your home. Debarah Levy also works on recruitment by networking across the Midlands at events and engagement opportunities. Anne and Emma make up the Placements team, and they work with the local authorities, to place children and young people in foster carer homes. We also have an experienced Admin Manager, Kay who manages our Admin team.

We are an experienced and qualified team who know our jobs and how to best support foster carers. We support each other to achieve positive outcomes for young people and foster carers. We are proud of our Capstone “family-feel” environment and we achieve this by taking the time to get to know our fostering families, and making them feel part of our team.

We regularly host training, support groups and events where foster carers are invited to come together, meet each other, speak with the staff team and keep in touch with us about their fostering journey. We are a child-focused organisation and we plan events for children throughout the year – recent trips for families included Drayton Manor, Conkers and Hatton Country World.

We are looking for families with a spare bedroom who can provide support and a positive family experience for children and young people of all ages. The majority of children we are asked to place are aged 5 – 18. We don’t usually get referrals for babies, but we do have a big demand to support parent and child, which is usually a mother and baby who need support. There is a big need to support siblings of all ages, so if you have the extra space to support more than one child, you are in high demand.

Fostering could be a life changing experience for you. We work hard to match children with the right family to make fostering a fulfilling experience for everyone. We believe in building brighter futures for both the children and the foster carers, so fostering is a positive experience for everyone. if fostering in Birmingham is something you are interested in, please give Capstone a call, to see if we are the right fostering agency to meet your needs.
