We are currently recruiting foster carers in the Trowbridge area
Have you been thinking about fostering for years but never taken that first step? Please read on as the more you find out the better informed you will be about whether this role is for you.
We are always looking for new foster carers in the Trowbridge area. If you are hoping to make a difference to a child’s life, then we’d like to hear from you.
What we look for in foster carers:
- You’ll need energy, patience, commitment and understanding
- You have at least one spare bedroom – or if you have more than one spare room, then perhaps you may be interested in caring for a sibling group?
- You want to help a child rebuild their life and begin their journey to a good future
We are also seeking to recruit people, who can train to undertake parent and child assessments. (Relevant work experience will apply)
Why choose Capstone Foster Care?
Fostering is not easy, but at Capstone Foster Care, we are realistic about the challenges and train you to understand your foster child and how to respond to their needs. We aim to promote the well-being not only of the child in placement, but also of you and your family, so that the fostering career you have chosen continues to inspire and interest you.
We are also one of six demonstration sites selected to see how social pedagogy could work in foster care in England. Also known as the Head, Heart & Hands programme which puts participation, empowerment and inclusion at the heart of its practice with both carers and children.
We put a lot of time and effort into regular and on-going training held locally and we support our carers so that they feel equipped and confident in the work they do. Carers also have access to 24/7 social worker support, and meet regularly with their own supervising social worker who knows them and their children really well.

About Capstone Foster Care
Capstone Foster Care is a well-established fostering agency operating across most parts of England. We have over 100 staff supporting 500 carers and we were rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in most of our recent inspections. We have offices spread around England and our local staff teams make a point of knowing personally all the carers in their area. We work hard to maintain the local, family feel of all our offices so that we can offer new carers the best of both worlds – the resources and expertise of a large agency as well as the personal family feel and local support that most carers really value.
