Meet Richard, Simon and Alison. Richard and Alison work closely on a daily basis with the senior management teams in each of Capstone’s four regions across England.
Richard Compton-Burnett (CEO)
Richard loves working in fostering. Before founding Capstone, Richard worked in business and finance for many years and spent a lot of time helping smaller companies grow. He also ran a charity for a couple of years. Capstone gives him the best of both worlds – the chance to help disadvantaged young people and the challenges and excitements that come with managing an organisation in a competitive environment. Richard also juggles the demands of Capstone with those of his wife Abigail and their four children and he often finds parenting much harder than running an organisation!
Simon Constantine (Chairman)
Simon qualified as an accountant and then spent ten years developing a healthcare company specialising in scientific instrumentation. Since then Simon has worked with several management teams in the healthcare sector as part time Chairman or Finance Director focusing on quality, integrity and creating long term value. Simon is married to Jo and they have three grown up children. Simon works about one day per week with Capstone and works most closely with Richard and Alison looking at long term planning and strategic issues. Part of his job is to make sure that Richard and Alison focus on the right issues and don’t take their eyes off the ball!
Alison Sargent (Operations Director)
Alison joined the Capstone Foster Care group in 2013. Alison has enjoyed a successful career in building and leading organisations across the social care, health and education sectors. Alison recently spent three years as Operations Director of one of the larger fostering agencies in England and Wales. Prior to that, Alison was Head of the Learning Disabilities team at Shropshire County Council and then a board director at Mencap, the largest learning disability charity in the UK.
