Senior Practitioner

This newly created Home Based, Senior Practitioner position will supervise a small team of experienced Supervising Social Workers and carry a carefully selected caseload. Deputising for the Team Manager when necessary. Working in partnership with other team members to provide a high quality and safe service for our foster families and the children/young people they look after.

This newly created Home Based, Senior Practitioner position will supervise a small team of experienced Supervising Social Workers and carry a carefully selected caseload. Deputising for the Team Manager when necessary. Working in partnership with other team members to provide a high quality and safe service for our foster families and the children/young people they look after.

Applicants must have:

A relevant Social Work qualification and be SWE registered
Experience of managing staff or students
Have fostering social work experience
Demonstrate an understanding of therapeutic approaches to parenting e.g. models of attachment
Experience of dealing with a crisis effectively
Knowledge of fostering and childcare legislation
Be eligible to work within the UK
Current driving licence and access to transport
IT and reporting skills
