We are currently recruiting foster carers in the Portsmouth area
We are currently looking for foster carers in the Portsmouth area. If you have the energy, time, patience and commitment to give to a child or young person in need of a secure and safe home. You will need at least one spare bedroom, or more, if you are interested in fostering a group of siblings. We are also always looking for carers who can look after a parent and child.
Why choose Capstone Foster Care?
At Capstone Foster Care we offer excellent all-round support for our carers, as we understand that to be able to face the challenges of looking after a vulnerable child or young person, you need to have someone to turn to. We provide thorough training in ‘Skills to Foster’ in order to prepare you for the task ahead, followed by regular, ongoing training to ensure that you are skilled and confident in your role.
We work therapeutically with children, having access to therapists, intervention workers, an education support coordinator as well as a social pedagogue. We are part of a programme trialling the impact of social pedagogy in fostering which means both social workers and carers are receiving training in this.
For our children (both fostered and birth children) we arrange activities and participation groups and have annual, well-attended days out for carers and children.
