Fostering Poole

Considering fostering in Poole?

Are you based in Poole and are toying with the idea of fostering?  Then please read on!  If you have a spare bedroom available, you can drive and are able to offer the time, patience and commitment required to look after a child in need of a caring home, we would love to hear from you.  In the Poole/Bournemouth area we specifically need carers who are able to take a parent and their child, or perhaps able to foster a sibling group.

Would you like to know more about fostering?

If you live in Poole, then our nearest office to you is in Ringwood where the training and support groups meet.

Our main contact person for all new carer enquiries is Emily who is based at our Gloucester office and you can reach her on 01454 423 820 or hello@capstonefostercare.co.uk. Emily will be able to answer many of your questions and give you further information about what being a foster carer involves.

Why choose Capstone Foster Care?

You will have access and support from social workers, therapists, a social pedagogue, intervention workers and 24/7 emergency support and management back-up.

In preparation for fostering you will receive comprehensive training in our 2 days ‘Skills to Foster’ training as well as an introduction to ‘Therapeutic Foster Care’, followed by ongoing training throughout your fostering career.

There are days out for carers and children and we encourage children to participate in activity days and also offer training to birth children.

About Capstone Foster Care

Capstone Foster Care is a well-established fostering agency operating across most parts of England.  We have over 100 staff supporting 500 carers and we were rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in most of our recent inspections.  We have 16 offices spread around England and our local staff teams make a point of knowing personally all the carers in their area.  We work hard to maintain the local, family feel of all our offices so that we can offer new carers the best of both worlds – the resources and expertise of a large agency as well as the personal family feel and local support that most carers really value.
