Fostering in Hemel Hempstead
Capstone Foster Care is eagerly recruiting carers in Hemel Hempstead. We are an independent agency and as such, we work with the local authority to provide loving homes to children and young people in care. Often new carers prefer to join an independent agency rather than a local authority because of the support and training provided by such agencies.
Capstone’s goal is building brighter futures for children. To meet this goal, we are always seeking great homes for the kids in the foster care system. Capstone offers a generous allowance and benefits. With Capstone, you are part of a team that works together to give young people a chance at achieving a successful outcome in life. As part of our team you will work with your supervising social worker and our staff of experts.
There are a wide range of homes needed. Looked after youngsters are placed for short term, long term and interim periods of time. Some children are waiting to be adopted, and foster parents help in that transition. Sometimes foster carers adopt the child. In other cases, the regular carers may need a respite, and you step in to provide this short-term break.
Sibling group placement is also needed. To be able to take in brothers and sisters, you will have to have a separate bedroom for each youngster. It is possible for young siblings of the same gender to share a room, if it is large enough to accommodate two beds.

Becoming a carer is one of the most rewarding career choices you can make. Many have described fostering as one of the most satisfying and enjoyable careers they could ever imagine. If you are ready to make a change, here are some of the elementary considerations. First of all, you must have a spare bedroom for the child or young person. It should be big enough for a bed, desk, wardrobe, and chest of drawers.
Once you are past that requirement, the next consideration is your health. You need to be in good health and have energy and compassion for children. Starting with these matters, you could be well on your way to one of the most life-changing events you have ever experienced. There is a deep social need for people to consider foster care.
