Fostering in Aylesbury

Fostering in AylesburyThere is an ongoing, often urgent, need for foster carers in Aylesbury. Being one of the independent fostering agencies that operate in the Buckinghamshire area, Capstone is actively recruiting carers in Aylesbury to help meet the demand that we have for the dedicated type of people who want to help youngsters achieve the life they deserve.

You do not need to be a home owner, but you must have a spare bedroom. If you have more than one spare room so much the better. The reason for this being even better is that we are often in the position of having a sibling group and where possible, we want to keep them together.

Of course, it takes more than just having the space. You must also have special personal qualities such as patience, energy, good health, and the ability to listen to a young person and understand what he or she is trying to tell you. There is no way to know in advance what youngster will need your open heart and open home, or to tell you the details about the child’s age or gender.

Each situation is different. The local authority works with a committee to determine the immediate solution and the long-term solution. If the solution involves a placement, we are one of the providers of placements. It can be temporary. It can be long-term.

Whatever the situation, you have the full professional, logistical, and emotional support of the Capstone network. Sometimes, the requirement is for someone especially trained in helping a young mother or father learn how to care for a newborn. Parent and child placements give a young family a very good start toward a happy future.

We urge you to think about getting in touch to learn about how this can be a life-changing career for you. Once we determine that you have the space, we can proceed with the application process. A supervising social worker will help with that process. You will learn about the training and support we offer and the types of fostering requirements we have.

We really want to recruit carers from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Being able to place kids in their same neighbourhood or close to it, allows them to maintain stability wit their friends and their school.

Capstone offers a generous allowance and benefits. With Capstone, you are part of a team that works together to give young people a chance at achieving a successful outcome in life.
If you have questions and are interested in fostering and in learning more about what is involved, contact us on 01322 629 260. You can also send us a message and we will get back to you right away.
