Over Christmas our Heywood support workers Emma, Hayley and Helen took our youth group to Nando’s for their Christmas treat. The youth group has been up and running for a couple of years now and the group really look forward to meeting up. Several young people aged over 11 attended the meal, all the young people have met before and are really familiar with each other. They sat and chatted nicely with each other while choosing which food they would like. Staff and the young people chatted about what they were up to over the Christmas period. Christmas can be a challenge for our children and young people in care but it was nice to see that they were looking forward to activities that they had planned. Everyone enjoyed the meal especially the puddings!
