Welcome to the Capstone team in the Midlands
Capstone Foster Care is eagerly looking for foster carers in the West Midlands. We are an independent fostering agency with more than 100 foster carers across the West Midlands. We have been operating in the Midlands for several years with a staff team of more than twenty professionals with offices in Birmingham, Leicester and Stoke.
Capstone works with local authorities to find foster homes for children and young people in the area. To provide the services needed, we need more foster carers. The numbers change from day to day but one thing remains the same: there are more children needing fostering than there are foster parents to provide the safe homes they so desperately need.
There is an application process that typically takes two to six months. If you have never had experience with children, it doesn’t matter. Our foster agency provides training and support and you will become involved in our foster carer support group.
Why choose Capstone Foster Care? We are experienced, supportive, and well equipped to be on hand 24/7 if you need assistance. You will know our supervising social worker who is able to connect you to special services support personnel or answer any questions you have about your placement. We pride ourselves in the way we support and train our carers. Our allowances are generous.
Our foster families have a positive attitude that reflects the Capstone culture of being caring and working out any issues in the most efficient and effective manner possible. We think in terms of being a team and as a foster carer you are an important part of that team. Each part of the team brings different skills to the network.
While some children are in care from birth until they age out of the system, the reality is that more than half of the nearly 70,000 children in care at any time are 10 years old or older. With about 10,000 foster children and young people, seeking placement across the UK because there are not enough foster homes – your participation is therefore sought.

Towns and counties we support
The wider the geographical range of our foster carers, the better we are able to serve the children needing foster care. Being removed from their family home is a traumatic event for children. If they have to be placed out of their local area, they also lose the security inherent in attending the same school and seeing their usual friends. Having more foster carers in the Midlands means that Midland children in care are able to be transitioned as smoothly as possible within or near a community with which they are familiar.
If you live in the any of the following areas – Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Derby, Dudley, Leicester, Leicestershire, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Northamptonshire, Nottingham, Sandwell, Solihull, Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Sutton, Coldfield, Telford, Walsall, Warwickshire, Wolverhampton, Worcester, and Worcestershire – and are thinking of fostering or have questions about fostering or becoming a foster carer, contact Capstone Foster Care.
We would be delighted to talk to you further about joining our team of carers. If you are a carer with a local authority or another independent fostering agency, talk to us about a transfer to our agency. Give us a call on 0800 012 4004, or simply click here.

I have just started fostering and I have been really well supported by Capstone Foster Care. I didn’t realise I would be as supported as I am, but i’ve now learnt that is one of the benefits of going with an agency. I know however small or insignificant the question or problem there is always someone at the end of the phone to answer or help.
