Amar Dhull (Managing Director)

Amar Dhull studied at Delhi University gaining; BCom, DPE, PGDPM, LLB, Masters in Social Work.

Amar started out his career in India as an HRD Manager in multinational companies from 1990 - 1993. Amar and his wife emigrated to the UK in 1994 and he worked for Kent County Council up until 2002. Roles included; Social Worker in the Children & Families Team and Child Protection Team and later seconded to set up the Parent's Consortium and develop services for children with disabilities and their families.

In 1999 Amar Set up IB School in Rohtak near Delhi in India. This school currently provides education for approximately 1350 children and employment for 60 teachers and 42 associated staff. The school has also devised a cultural and educational link with two schools in the UK and Finland. Over the last five years nearly fifty students and teachers have visited IB School as part of various cultural and educational exchange programmes.

Having worked in the front line of child protection for a number of years, Amar became aware of the desperate need for more foster families to provide homes for children coming into the care system. In 2002 Amar set up Vision Fostering Agency Ltd to help address this deficit. In 2004 he branched out again to set up Vision Management and Consultancy Services Ltd and also SmartStart Day Nursery in Gravesend.

Amar has a particular interest in sports and when younger played basketball at national and international level. His love of sports and excercise has seen a specific focus on this area at IB School. Amar lives near Leatherhead in Surrey with his wife and two children. 

Richard Compton-Burnett

Richard worked in accounting and finance for 10 years before setting up a business in London with three partners that specialised in helping young companies to grow.  He then established and ran a charity for two years before setting up Capstone with Simon Constantine in 2006.

Richard is married to Abigail and they live near Basingstoke in Hampshire with their four young children.

Simon Constantine

Simon qualified as an accountant and then spent ten years developing a healthcare company specialising in scientific instrumentation before it was sold in 1997.  Since then Simon has worked with several management teams in the healthcare sector focussing on quality, integrity and creating long term value.

Simon is married to Jo and they also live near Basingstoke with their three children

In 2007 Amar met with Richard and Simon from Capstone Foster Care and they found that they had similar views and ambitions about how to grow fostering organisations in the current marketplace in the south of England.  Following these discussions, Vision joined the Capstone group in 2008.  This link has enabled Capstone Vision to share skills and experience with other offices in the Capstone group and to launch its own accelerated expansion programme.
